“I am the earth And the earth is Me”

The Living Heritage of Our Land
Did you know that every corner of our country is home to a rich variety of indigenous food cultures, built upon thousands of years of tradition?
In one region, a community of farmers continues to cultivate ancient indigenous rice varieties without the use of pesticides. In another, a handful of beekeepers harvest pure, unadulterated honey with utmost care, ensuring no harm comes to the bees. Elsewhere, groups of women work tirelessly to preserve the heritage
of native seeds, stone chakki pressed spices and dheki pounded rice and millets, timeless practices that keep our culinary diversity alive.
Across the land, these quiet and positive efforts are sustaining both biodiversity and hope.
Say no to products that are bleached, polished, or excessively refined, those that have lost touch with their natural essence. Bring back the forgotten earthy taste of our soil, our traditions, and our collective memory.
Microbes, insects, animals, soil, water, wind – everything is bound in an indispensable web of interdependence.
Do not disconnect yourself from this bond. Live in togetherness, that is what strengthens your very existence.

The Thought Behind
Before the era of hybrids, pesticides, and synthetic additives, there was a raw, unadulterated origin.
The journey of Taproot began with the aim of rediscovering that indigenous, natural taste.
The food we produce should come directly from the earth, carrying all of nature’s inherent qualities. Thus, let science and technology enhance our path, not redefine it.
With every supporter who joins, this organic movement grows stronger. Together, hand in hand, we can strive for a better tomorrow.

The taprooT Organization Overview
Established: 2017
Purpose: Rooted in sustainability and community care, Taproot ensures that every product you choose supports chemical-free farming, promotes biodiversity, empowers rural communities, and strengthens the bond with nature.
Our Work: The Taproot is working to connect individuals who produce ecologically sustainable products. From every corner of our country we can work together to make the world a little more sustainable by practicing our rich cultural traditions and knowledge alongside the responsible use of science.
You can be a part of this journey too. If you seek better health, a healing lifestyle and a peaceful mind, it’s time to rethink your daily choices. The food you provide for your child and the meals you prepare for your parents should be pure and nourishing. Choosing indigenous naturally produced food and fibre will help protect you and your family from harm and distractions.
The Hope to grow
Nature provides us with different types of seeds. Farmers have selected some of them for agriculture. These indigenous seeds possess mineral-rich, unique characteristics , different taste and offer greater stability and immunity than hybrid crops.
Traditional farming with these indigenous seeds is simple, sustainable, and cost-effective. However, after straying so far from nature, returning to its purest form seems nearly impossible. Yet, by preserving what remains, we can protect both ourselves and Mother Earth, ensuring a healthier future for generations to come.
Standing against the tide of modern agricultural practices requires immense effort. Indigenous seed collection and preservation, traditional farming, small-scale rural practices, sustainable initiatives, cooperatives, deliverable platforms to the end consumers and individual support all play critical roles in this movement. Though progress is slow and the costs and risks remain high, the participation of like-minded individuals is continuously inspiring hope.
